The Hotel of South Beach is located in the heart of the famed Art Deco district of Miami that has become known as South Beach. Designed and built in 1939 by world renowned architect, L. Murray Dixon, The Hotel was originally the Tiffany Hotel. After an expansive renovation in 1998 lead by urban developer Tony Goldman and cutting-edge designer Todd Oldham, the Hotel reopened to rave reviews. The Hotel of South Beach is also a member of the Historic Hotels of America, a division of the national Trust for Historic Preservation. The Hotel successfully blends Art Deco-style with modern day opulence.

Opulent Living at The Hotel

The Hotel of South Beach houses 52 guestrooms and suites located on three floors. Each room is painted in soothing natural colors and natural maple. The rugs in each room were chosen for the sole purpose of giving off the feeling that the pristine sandy beach of the Atlantic is part of the guest's living reality. The bathrooms are as exquisite and original as the rooms. The tiles were all airbrushed by hand with unique designs. By the time the renovation was complete over 20,000 tiles had been individually airbrushed. The showers have oversized heads and a tie-dyed bathrobe designed by Oldham awaits each guest after they shower.

Other luxuries that set The Hotel apart from other hotels in South Beach include the exquisite entertainment center. It is made from maple and tile and is equipped Courtyard at the Hotel of South Beach with a remote controlled television, VCR, CD player, radio and mini-bar. Unique glass and mirror inlaid shapes cover the closets and desks as well. The telephones feature a modem/data port connection for computer or fax hookup in addition to voicemail. Other amenities include individually controlled air condition, electronic door locks, hair dryer, iron/ironing board and an in-room safe. Handicap accessible rooms are available upon request. The Hotel also provides it's guests with dry cleaning service, room service, wake-up service and turn-down service. Children under the age of 12 stay for free.

The Hotel features a roof top pool that offers sunbathers a phenomenal panoramic view of the sparkling blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Sun bums may enjoy a private massage in one of the poolside cabanas. The Hotel also houses a fitness center, juice bar and conference center. Travelers who want to bring some of Todd Oldham's signature creations home with them are able to do so by shopping at The Hotel's Boutique.
